【超伝導応用機器の研究開発】
電気抵抗がゼロとなる超伝導現象を利用すれば,損失の低減により省エネルギーに貢献するだけではなく,大電流・高磁界の特長により高機能な超伝導応用機器(電気機械,電磁石,NMR/MRI装置など)を実現できます。超伝導技術の幅広い普及により,環境にやさしい社会の構築を目指します。
【医薬用タンパク質の磁気分離装置開発】
抗体医薬やワクチンの開発・実用化に欠かせない技術である医薬用タンパク質(モノクローナル抗体や免疫グロブリンなど)の大量・高速・連続の分離精製法として,小型冷凍機で冷却した超伝導マグネットを内蔵する卓上型の高勾配磁気分離装置を開発し,その実用化を目指します。
【水素製造・利用技術の基礎研究】
近未来の水素社会の実現を目指して,特に貯蔵や輸送の際に優位な利用形態である液体水素に着目し,内容量を連続的に高精度で計測する液位センサの製品化に成功するとともに,別容器へ簡便に移送する電気式ポンプの実用化まであと一歩の段階です。今後は,幅広い観点から,水素ガスの製造・利用技術の確立も含めた基礎研究を実施します。
